I would like to share the yesterday meeting headed by Ms.Chelo Monasterio and Ms. MJ abreu. In the group they also invited all the affiliates head of SM Mall of Asia. The meeting is about the Project of SM Foundation for the benefit of its Medical Missions.
Medical Mission is headed by Ms. Connie Angeles together with SM Foundation Director Ms. Linda Atayde, She discussed about the needs to help our indigent families living in the vicinity of the SM Malls as well as disasters victims. Just for buying the said Planner for only Php250.00 unlimited Edition, we supported the project and in our little ways we help our brothers and sisters who we're less fortunate due tove medical services.

1. From the Cover - Cover feature the National Artist Mr. Juvenal Sanso, a childhood friend of Tatang. His Murals can be found also at SMX Convention.

Hey Mommies! For a working mommies like me a one day day off is a time for your kids dayout! But of course you need also to consider time to do other chores like in your home cleaning, cooking etc. But i do 2 task at the same time when im doing my shopping at SM hypermarket- Sucat. This is the Baby section or what they called Baby Solution at the Infants section wherein your kids can play and interact with other kids, read books, play toys and watch disney cartoons at no cost at all!!

While im doing my shopping and completing my shopping lists, i always left my baby SM (Sophia Marie) together with her yaya. My baby really enjoy the area, the ambiance and everything. One day restday for me is a fruitful one when you share it with your love ones.

Habit 3. Put First Things First

One of the responsibility of the Accounting staff is to ensure correctness of the transactions made by Front-end division thru audit. When I asked Ruby about her daily routine she elucidate it one by one. Organizing the most important priorities that needs to be done is one of her objective. Auditing on time and having extra mile to report the problem to the concerned dept. and resolve it immediately is truly remarkable one! I salute you ma'am ruby! Keep up the good work!

A LEARNING LESSON IN LIFE

Yesterday, was an irky day for me. Lots of preparation needed for our physical count and of course a weekend destination store that needs alot of physical and mental activity just to give our customer's demand and to give quality service.

Just want to share this and i hope you will learn a lot. This is not just a story but a story that you can learn about LIFE .

Prior to closing our store i've got a call from CS manager about one customer who terribly looks so unhappy and dissapointed and he badly wants to talk to me. As I approached customer service section, customer was running towards me and abruptly cried. Without asking anything and what happen to him, i just keep my self quiet and just tapped his shoulder saying its ok, its ok.
This is my first time that i encountered customer continously cried because of anger and dissatisfaction about the action taken by other retail employee that made him so upset. I am not in the position to judge anybody but being in the retail operation we should have a long patience and have heart to our customers to understand, to respect them and to give the best that we can. Anyways, we at operations are PAID for this.

If you are in the retail operation you should learn to be humble. You should not do nor think anything that can harm the feeling of others, we have to be tactful in dealing with them because Customer is our bread and butter. Without their money even a single centavo that contributed to our sales is still a part of our salary received. We should not forget the fact that we're bringing the company's image and anything that we say will truly affects others and can be concluded to everybody.

I ended our conversation thru a deepest apology in behalf of the person who hurted him and I called up the superior of that person to inform her about the concern, for them to give immediate attention. He left the store at ease but still reflecting. I just pampered him and told him that i will pray for him.

Before i go home, im still thinking of my assignment about business planning for it is tomorrows deedline, but instead of checking my datas and reports i accidentally saw one of my book that really help me as a person. My book titled THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE by Rick Warren and its really touches me and realizes my purpose in life. Not only to give best service but to be a human being practicing humanitarianism. Not only the passion for work but also the vocation in life. Allow me to quote some part what i've read it is pages 155-156 and here it goes:

SYMPATHIZE WITH THEIR FEELINGS:
Use your ears more than your mouth. Before attempting to solve any disagreement you must first listen to peoples feelings. Paul advised, "Look out for one another's interests, not just for your own." The phrase "look out for" is the Greek word skopos, from which we form our words telescope and microscope. Its means pay close attention Focus on their feelings, not the facts. Begin with sympathy, not solutions. Dont try to talk people out of how they feel at first. Just listen and let them unload emotionally without being defensive. Nod that you understand even when you don't agree. Feelings are not always true and logical. In fact, resentment makes us act and think in foolish ways. David admitted, " When my thoughts were bitter and my feelings were hurt, I was as stupid as an animal." We all act beastly when hurt. In contrast, the Bible says, "A man's wisdom gives him patience, it is to his glory to overlook an offense," Patience comes from wisdom, and wisdom comes from hearing the perspective of others. Listening says, I value your opinion, I care about our relationship, and you matter to me." The cliche' is true: People don't care what we know until they know we care. It is a sacrifice to patiently absorb the anger of others, especially if it's unfounded.

I HATE CHEESE!!! but when you become a mom you need to understand that you have to be creative and thinking the best food that your kid should eat! Being a mommy is not easy especially for me who's working and i have to budget my time! Before i go to work i already plan what food should my baby eat for the day! It should be nutritious at the same time enticing to their eyes like the sampling booth we have here at SM MAll of Asia-hypermarket, they prepared a cocktail style so that kids will love to go to the booth and eat! Luckily, on my restday i decided to shopped at SM Hypermarket-Sucat and luckily i saw tolits promoting the KRAFT EDEN Cheese, im so happy because my baby likes tolits and of course since he's endorsing the cheese i don't have the hard time convincing my baby to eat cheese! Sometimes in just simple ways, you can share your time and have a bonding with your kids.

Yan ang Tama! being Pro Active!

Last Sunday, I saw Jerry humbly assisting one of the regular customer named Ms. Lorna and that customer commented "Mabait yan batang yan, spoiled ako dyan at alam na niya gusto ko" Though he's only the opening dicer who reported that day, he makes sure that every customers will be given quality customer service. "Kaliskis dito, kaliskis dun", "Timbang dito, Timbang dun""Ikot dito, ikot dun" Though he's busy, he still doing suggestive selling " Mam tanigue po?Ilan piraso po?" and i noticed that at the end of each serving he never forget to smile and say thank you to our customer!Keep up the good work Jerry! You keep me inspired and be proud! Mabuhay ka!

Blogger's Party Part 2 @ Taste Asia

This is our picture, me and my hubby Babes at Blogger's Fest at Taste Asia last August 23, 2007. Im so tired because we need to prepare a lot and communicate with all other depts. on the program, food, etc. but you know, I was surprised because my husband is one of the invites! Since i am new in the world of blogging, I need lot of time to study and learning it and sometimes even in my spare time at home, i consumed most of my time in surfing the net. Im very much lucky and thankful to have my husband that is always here to support me and understand my work in retail operation. Rest assured that i'll do time management so that i can do all.

He is now also learning how to do blog and takenote! he's much better than me now especially in posting pictures. Thanks Dad! Rest assured that I will not forget my responsibility to be a loving wife, a caring mother and a daughter to our parents. Just beep me if sometimes i forgot, ok?. I love you!!!

Sir RK's BDAY

My Life in SM would not be completed if sometimes we need to have fun with our co employees. This picture was taken during sir RK's Bday here at SM MALL of ASIA - HYPERMARKET TASTE ASIA. Im so happy to see agian faces of my colleagues who are now transferred to different branches. Despite of our busy life here we are enjoying and celebrating the B-day of our ROBUST KING!!! My wish to you sir is to give you a bunch of hapiness and love from your family and friends, long life and good health. More Power and Success!

As i remember we started in only 1 store wayback 2001 of May and now we're nine branches!!! As the store grows, employees of SM also grows we are now all managers! Thanks to SM for giving us the oppurtunity to grow and for giving us bosses like RK who understand, very passionate to employees like us and continously teaching us to be a servant leader with spiritually uplifted individuals. Of course, we have to put God first in everything that we do.
Right now, we have nine branches: the SM HYPERMARKET SUCAT, BICUTAN, MARILAO, MOLINO ,NORTH EDSA, PASIG, VALENZUELA, CLARK and of course the popular and controversy store THE SM MALL OF ASIA. Why??because SM MALL OF ASIA has a 700 stores, all the best and all premium stores and as customers says...the biggest mall in the Philippines! NO other malls comes close...

And of course thanks to SM Hypermarket-TASTE ASIA which was the host for the food in the big event. A lots of great foods were served, soo soo delicious especially the steamed chicken pandan, salt and pepper baby back rib, i really love it! The desserts are very good for the people who undergone diets! fresh cut fruits " sarap talaga"! I was about to go home when i saw the fresh mixed fruits, the watery melon, sweet pineapple and chunky melon in a plate... oh so yummy!!!

Party will not be completed if we not use the free amenities offered by TASTE ASIA!!! Free videoke sing a long powered by magic sing package with entertainers from hypermarket mall of asia!!! and the sexy dancing of the bennetton guy hehehe. (Don't be so green! its just an ART of break dancing!!! and the presentation of pictures tandem with the music "through the years" through overhead projector. Waiters are all accomodating and as a whole its all great to have a party at TASTE ASIA!!!

I really enjoy this night simply because i see lots of faces smiling and happy.
